Donna Surges Tatum, PhD (Secretary and Treasurer)

Donna Surges Tatum, PhD is a Psychometrician as well as a Communication Science scholar. She holds a Baccalaureate in Communication and a Master of Arts in Persuasion and Organizational Communication from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Her doctorate in Measurement Evaluation Statistical Analysis (MESA) is from the University of Chicago. She founded Meaningful Measurement, a research and psychometric services company that works with organizations to maintain standards in the high-stakes arena of national and international board certification and licensure examinations. She is Consulting Psychometrician to the American Osteopathic Association where she provides oversight for the 18 Physician Specialty Certifying Boards and advises the AOA Standards Review Committee. She is currently leading a team of communication scholars and physicians to develop a program for training and assessing physician professionalism and communication competence. In addition she is founder and President of the National Certification Board for Alzheimer & Aging Care which confers credentials for Certified Alzheimer Educators™ (CAEd™) Certified Alzheimer Caregivers™ (CAC™) and Certified Relocation & Transition Specialist™ (CRTS™). Dr. Surges Tatum is also a Lecturer at the University of Chicago Graham School.
